Sometimes I play adventure or even hidden object for a few minutes, but get pretty sick of them. But this one I will keep coming back to until I finish. The "puzzles" (such as they are) are cute and a bit clever. The cartoonish hidden objects are just enough of a challenge (IMO). The story is pretty funny. It is totally silly, but that is probably actually a "realism" improvement over most such games ("I desperately need to get through that locked internal wooden door, so naturally I hunt for a key in the cluttered bathroom rather than just breaking it down.") I would have to say this is the most fun of the adventure-lite/hidden-object genre I have tried.. My daughters woke me up at 6 in the morning "Daddy, we want to play Elementary!". Well...parts of this game are enjoyable, although some of the minigame puzzles can be annoying and unintuitive (see the numerous "pick which order to click these in" minigames that don't actually give you a hint on what order to use, so you just have to use trial-and-error). Also, while some of the hidden objects are, well, properly hidden, there's quite a few, typically at least one per scene, that are just not visible even with the limited rotation mechanic, and which can only be found by either using a hint, or getting lucky in mousing over the right area. But good god, the racist caricatures. The "natives" are basically ripped out of some Looney Tunes shtick from the 1940s, and attempting to complete that segment was kind of agonizing. The "China" segment is full of ninjas and samurai, which, uh...aren't Chinese. If you really like hidden object games, you...might like this one? The aesthetic seems tailored for the pre-teen demographic, though. But personally, I can't recommend this one.. This is a very cute 3D hidden object and puzzle game! Not very difficult to find objects (though some are placed cleverly to blend with the environment!) and solve the puzzles, but each chapter gets rated from 1 to 3 on how quickly you finished it and on use of hints. It's a casual game though so it's quite relaxing to play the game. This game can be played by anyone of any age. Some reviewers think this is just for children. It can be, but it needs adult supervision as some of the puzzles aren't explained very well, but can be figured out pretty quickly what to do with the help of an adult. I wish there are more HOGs like this!. Nice if you are 5-8 years old...... or really really hung over.. I am a hardcore strategy gamer. Making a 3D HO game is a great idea, but that's where it ends. Instead of expanding on the 3D concept they decided to add annoying and bad content.Aside from the HO games it is packed with tedious unskippable puzzles (unless the skip function is hidden in the ugly interface). The writing is atrocious, luckily you can skip it as fast as possible. The hints are bad and some puzzles not logical. The art is ugly.Very disappointing.
